was one of the most successful in American history. He was responsible for a time of great prosperity and growth in this country and people the world over recognize
his leadership abilities. In sharp contrast to his presidency, George W. Bush, our current president, lacks the character and political agenda of a great president. Indeed, the presidency
of George W. Bush could be considered one of the worst in American history. President Ronal Reagan was responsible for what came to be coined as the Reagan
Revolution (Past Presidents, 2002). This referred to a program whose aim was to "reinvigorate the American people and reduce their reliance upon Government" (Past Presidents, 2002). Reagan was
a strong conservative and believed that the less the government got involved in business and other affairs, the better off the economy and the country would be (Past Presidents, 2002).
By the end of his second term in office, Reagan felt like he had accomplished the goals which he had
set forth at the beginning of his terms (Past Presidents, 2002). He believed that the country was indeed better due to his innovative programs and ideas and that he
had fulfilled his 1980 campaign pledge to restore "the great, confident roar of American progress and growth and optimism" (Past Presidents, 2002). And this was truly the case.
President Ronal Reagan was a great man - one of character, vision and the ability to make things happen. He
had an extraordinary way of communicating with others and the skill to be able to inspire trust and confidence among those with whom he spoke. Ronald Reagans terms as president
