have led to the notion that there was a race of humans that were very short, with small brains, which clearly had the ability to make tools and behave as
though their brains were larger than they were. Of course these findings, of many remains of such people, have raised controversy as many argue they were not another race of
man, but rather a deformed race or a race that was not man. The following paper examines the article and argues that the new findings could well indicate that a
new type of human was found. The Littlest Human The remains found on a particular island were only about a meter tall, and they were named Hobbits, after
those creatures in Tolkiens novels. They were not individuals with large brains, but brains that were proportioned to their bodies. These remains have led many to believe that scientists have
found a new species of mankind. Many argue, however, that they are nothing more than a deformed race suffering from particular conditions or diseases. What makes it likely that
these findings indicate the discovery of a new race of people is reliant heavily on other scientific discoveries. In this article they make mention of a pygmy type elephant found
through remains. This is something that is often associated with islands and the isolation islands offer. This finding was related to Western Flores. This particular reader/writer recently watched a television
show that discussed miniature mammoths found off the coast of California in the Channel Islands. It was stated that they likely swam to these islands when the distance was less
and the larger mammoths died out while smaller versions evolved. Considering that pygmy elephants were found halfway around the world, as well as the mammoths in California, it seems likely
