the Lion of Judah is also strongly connected with Christianity as well. It is a symbol that has gradually evolved and become a very strong symbol for numerous Christian churches
in the nation, and churches around the world. The following paper examines the symbol of the Lion of Judah as it relates to Christianity. The Lion of Judah and
Christianity In relationship to the ancient history of the symbol in Christianity there seems to be no specific time frame in which this icon emerged as symbolic of Jesus and
the faith. However, in relationship to the Bible it appears as though the lion of Judah was something referred to in Hosea, and something that clearly referred to the power
of God. One author notes the verse (Hosea 5 verse 14, which states, "I will be like a lion to Israel and like a young lion to Judah. I
will tear their nations to pieces, and then walk away" (The Lion Of Judah). This author illustrates that this is something which clearly defines the power and possible wrath of
God (The Lion Of Judah). And, interestingly enough, "In the bible this is one of the only instances that the lion of Judah is mentioned and is used as an
adjective, describing Gods power and mercy" (The Lion Of Judah). It is also something that has been used in imagery, with a lion possessing the Star of David which is
