a man who was ultimately assassinated because of this. Interestingly enough, however, he himself was a very determined individual in relationship to the employment of non-violence in all approaches to
change. The following paper examines his life and works. The Life and Works of Martin Luther King Jr. "Martin Luther King,
Jr. was born at noon on Tuesday, January 15, 1929 at the family home, 501 Auburn Avenue, N.E., Atlanta, Georgia" (The King Center, 2008). He was the second child and
the first son of Reverend Martin Luther King, Sr. and Alberta Williams King (The King Center, 2008). When he was 5 years of age he started his education, although he
legally needed to be 6 years of age (The King Center, 2008). It was discovered that he was not old enough to attend school he was essentially kicked out until
he was the legal age of 6 (The King Center, 2008). "Following Yonge School, he was enrolled in David T. Howard Elementary School" (The King Center, 2008). He also
went to Booker T. Washington High School and Atlanta University Laboratory School (The King Center, 2008). He had incredibly high scores in his college entrance exams and was sent to
Morehouse College without actually getting a truly formal graduation (The King Center, 2008). In essence, he ended up skipping his junior and senior years at high school, moving directly on
