Soderini, a leader that Machiavelli characterized as good, but weak, and Medici was allowed to return to power (2000). Machiavelli was dismissed but was soon afterward
imprisoned, and subjected to torture because it was believed that he conspired against the Medici (2000). He was innocent (2000). Still, he could not get back into political
life and this is when he began to write seriously (2000). His most famous work is called The Prince, and it is a work that tells of how Princes should
rule. It is a political classic and used widely to this day. While well known as a politicians, he also had a personal life. Machiavelli married in 1502 and the
pair had six children (2000). In 1526, he was commissioned by Pope Clement VII to inspect fortifications of Florence and in that same year his friend and critic Francesco
