troubling, and when it comes to health care which veterans receive, there is even greater cause for concern. The general public has many medical quality issues but veterans have
an even more complicated system which further inhibits quality health care services. Clearly this is a system in need of reform. The Level of Health care Received By Veterans
There is concern among many professionals involved in the health care industry in regards to the care received by veterans. In
order to better understand the problems associated with the system, it is first important to examine health care in general terms since there are many similarities and then to look
specifically at the care which veterans receive. In this way, one is able to clearly understand the current system and to realize where pitfalls exist and where improvement is
needed. It can be considered an oxymoron: here we live in the most technologically advanced and most developed nation
in the world where health care is able to benefit from the best and the latest technologies (Improving Quality in a Changing Health Care Industry, 2003). And yet, too
many Americans are receiving sub-standard care, among them are a large number of veterans (Improving Quality in a Changing Health Care Industry, 2003). "Exhaustive research documents the fact that
