success. Burrows, Grover & Green (2006) detail the life and work of Steve Jobs. They observe him as " wearing shorts, sneakers, and a few days growth of beard" (Burrows,
Grover & Green, 2006, 62). This is just a physical description but suggests that he has a casual attitude. Of course, appearances can be deceiving. Jobs is a bit more
rigid than he appears. Interestingly, authors report that about a decade ago, Steve Jobs was a rather controlling and overbearing boss (Burrows, Grover & Green, 2006). In terms of
leadership style, Schneider has called him charismatic (Burrows, Grover & Green, 2006). Authors explain that at Apple, micromanagement is acceptable, but while that is the case, Jobs relies on his
executives to do much of the work (Burrows, Grover & Green, 2006). Still, he is hands-on when it comes to his areas of expertise (Burrows, Grover & Green, 2006). Jobs
teaches while he performs certain tasks. He can also be demanding (Burrows, Grover & Green, 2006). While some of these traits are undesirable, the style works. Jobs is a
