in world religions. About the size of the New Testament, it is considered the absolute word or God (or Allah, as he is called in Islam). Unlike the
New Testament and Hebrew Bible, which not only contain several books but also various narrative stories and letters from important people, The Koran is the voice of Allah as recited
to his great prophet, Mohammed, when he was receiving his revelation. In fact, historians who look at religious history critically view The Koran as the most accurate of all
religious texts. That is because the Hebrew Bible was not codified (put in its final form) until several millennia after Moses, and the Books of the New Testament were
not considered authoritative until 400 years after the death of Jesus. The Koran, as known today, was put in its final form within one generation after the death
of Mohammed. In addition, it is a book of sublime simplicity, insofar as there is only one God (Allah), one prophet (Mohammed), and one miracle. And that miracle
is considered the existence of the Koran itself, for the remarkable thing is that here is a book containing theology (the aspects of God), issues of faith, poetry, a codified
legal system which can easily be applied to people living in the dessert or in the cities, wonderful stories, and guidance for the distraught, all in a book that is
