help make student life easier. This includes information such as maps of the campuses and access to information regarding support services, such as counselling and financial advice. The system is
also one that is a good and effective communication too to stay in though with university peers and staff as well as those outside the university. To look at
how the internet will help student see can consider the different applications and how they may be used. The world wide web is the normal and popular face of the
internet, this is a system that works by protocols between the interfaces of the computers in order to browse the web pages we see. Mosiac can be seen as the
first of these clients, with its development by the National Center for Supercomputer Applications (NCSA) (Gralla, 2000). It is this code that was used to develop the more well known
web browsers such as Netscape and Internet Explorer (IE). Netscape originally used the Java applications, but Internet Explorer also has adopted many of these, and many say that they have
copied Netscape in doing so. This is the way that information that is seen as being on the internet is usually access. This is an easy to use graphical interface
that will help the student navigate though the different pages. If the world wide web is seen as a book, this will help find the right pages and allow the
page contents to be search to find relevant information making use of a search engine such as google or yahoo. Not all information published n the internet will be correct.
