nation, if not the world. The following paper examines the necessity of the internet in the modern world. The Internet: Modern Necessity First and foremost it should perhaps
be understood that civilization would likely continue without the internet, but it is a very powerful tool that feels necessary to the nation. There are many lives that would be
powerfully disrupted without the internet and people have become reliant on the internet for communication, information, news, entertainment and many other things. As such it is examined as a necessity.
People in business rely on the internet for many things that are crucial to their business. For example, many businesses do sales and purchases and almost all communication through
the internet. There are websites where people go to examine products, and internet bill paying and communication. Without the internet many businesses would not be successful and would likely not
have the income they do have. This is also the case for many independent or self employed people who use the internet to sell their product. For example,
even Ebay is a place where people make a living, working from home, selling their products and this enables them to survive and work. There are the elements of
