a company that has sprung in the wake of the computer age, one of the more fortunate entities in corporate America which has been able to, by virtue of its
staunch leadership, secure a top position in a growing industry. And while Intel has done well for itself, one must also examine its success in other areas. Fro example, has
the company lived up to its goals and objectives? Has it effected growth while maintaining a high degree of ethics and social responsibility? Intels mission statement is as follows: "Our
Mission: Do a great job for our customers, employees and stockholders by being the preeminent building block supplier to the worldwide Internet economy" ("Corporate" PG). Intel also reports that they
are customer and results oriented and believe in risk taking (PG). The company maintains that it is a great place to work and puts an emphasis on quality (PG).
Their rhetoric is rather generic. It is difficult to discern exactly what the companys objectives are by simply reading the statement. But its simplicity may be misleading. The mission
