NGOs as well as other global institutions. The impact had by these organization, both Northern and Southern is often assumed to be the greatest in areas where there are undemocratic
political systems or where there are high levels of poverty and ignorance. The role of NGOs and international organizations in the developing world as a force to encourage development and
provide for those is need cannot be denied, Feed the Children, Amnesty International, the Red Cross, or the Red Crescent, and the World Wide life Fund for nature are a
few that have been able to have positive effects. However, this does not mean that the more developed countries, such as the UK, are not influenced by the same organizations.
NGOs are able to have an influence due to their perceived status. Non-governmental organisations are one of the two main types of international organizations. NGOs as they are known
not to have governments as members. The role of NGOs is wide and varied, as wide and varied as activities groups within
many states. They may support such diverse interest as womens rights, human rights or animal rights though to nuclear disarmament and the protection of the environment, but all on a
global basis. The role of the NGOs have several commonalties for the most part they are respected and have high ideals, although some may be seen as controversial in their
