that is remembered simply as 9-11, an abbreviation of the date on which a handful of radical Muslims made a move that would forever change life in our country.
This day in American history will forever resound in our minds not just because of the direct toll in lives and property that was taken in those particular incidences
but also because of the more indirect, more subtle impacts. Indirect and subtle impacts or not, the thesis can be presented that:
9-11 has forever changed not just the way that we as Americans view the sanctity of our borders but also the way
we view the sanctity of our civil rights and those of others. On September 11,
2001 America was attacked in a manner that she had never been attacked before. Yes, during World War II we had indeed witnessed an attack inside our borders but
that attack was limited both in its extent and in the continued threat that it represented to American security. On September 11, 2002, however, Americans recognized that we were
indeed much more vulnerable than we had previously believed. The attack didnt come in the form of long range missiles or even enemy aircraft. It came in the
