only human survival that that metrics are important to, they may also be applied to organizations the same way, used as a tool by which the organisation can develop
and grown, assessing its environment and performance within that environment. Generally metrics may be seen as a system of measurement, that will include the item, object or phenomenon
that is to be measured, the units of measurement, and the value of the unit compared to other units as a reference point (Geisler and Abdallah, 2000). There are many
approaches to metrics, these may include physical instruments to undertake the measurement, likewise the measurement instrument may be a system, such as an information technology system. There can be
little doubt that metrics play an important role of organisation. In order to improve and identify any faults or flaws in their current systems or processes as well as to
assess f the company is perfuming to the desired standards it is necessary to measure them. These measurements may then be benchmarked against previous performance, idea goals or best practice
figures. Metric may be used in a variety of context, form use in single measurements, such as quality control, or larger approaches as within the adoption a balanced scorecard where
the measurements will be spread over four areas; financial performance, customer satisfaction, internal processes and growth and learning (Gumbus and Lussier, 2006). The first consideration is what to measure,
