Disney began as a company that had a vision, and it grew immeasurably due to the talent of Walt and the business acumen of his brother Roy. Since their deaths,
the company has expanded quickly throughout the United States as well as throughout the world. However, in order to keep the Disney image alive, it has implemented a myriad of
rules and regulations to make sure all employees look squeaky clean. While that is the case, Disney had not managed to keep its own image squeaky clean as it was
infiltrated with a number of scandals, inclusive of shady characters on staff and an expansion of insurance to partners of homosexuals. It had instituted "gay days" and things that created
a new, unwanted image of the company that once was seen as the icon of innocence. Although progressives were delighted with Disneys catering to the homosexual community, it outraged some
Christians whose dollars might have been spent in Orlando or in buying Disney videos. Disney products were boycotted for a time. Disneys tarnished image really did not have a substantial
effect on its business as the company continued expansion to other countries and other interests. Its presence as a global enterprise and its dominance in Orlando is stable. The company
along with its film productions, theme parks and paraphernalia create a wonderful enterprise that many children, as well as adults, just love. The companys concept suggesting that when one is
