by an individual. With that in mind the following paper presents a first person narrative that examines the writers brother who was a very influential individual on the writers life.
The Impact of an Influential Individual His name was Curt and I dont know anyone who did not like the man. I do not remember anyone every saying
anything bad or negative about Curt and he was the kind of guy who people seemed to remember. For example, he could play golf in Scotland and make friends
with his caddy, only to keep a relationship with the man for many years afterwards, always looking him up when he went to Scotland. Or he would make friends with
people he met briefly and stay in contact. People seemed to be drawn to him and he always had a joke, a smile, or laugh to share. Curt was
three years older than me and in high school he was voted the most valuable player on his football team. I was the complete opposite. Having been raised in a
family of boys who all loved football and played football, the sport was of not interest and so I took another path. After I left high school I married and
Curt traveled. I lived a very difficult life at times and Curt was always there for me, never stating he did not like my choice in a husband, and never
telling me how I should live my life. As I grew older I realized he did not judge people. He appreciated them, each one, learning from them and feeling humble
