local convention and laws. They must abide by a variety of requirements that relate to funding and other things that respects teaching in terms of quality and otherwise. While the
No Child Left Behind Act for example changed things from the federal level, but affects all teachers, other laws make sure that for example, Special Education students are treated properly.
Laws that govern the disabled also go to education. The same legislation that governs the parking lot slots for the handicapped govern how the children are taught in schools. Identification
of students often means a stipend from the federal government. Still, school systems must accommodate the needs of all children, which means that anything a disabled child needs must be
provided, even if it means transporting the student to another location. There are many other laws that govern teaching. Teachers are not allowed to date their students. This becomes quite
touchy in high school as sometimes things happen and students can be eighteen or nineteen years old, while a teacher may be only twenty-four. The difference in age is negligible
but even for students who are considered adults under the law, there is a conflict of interest when a student forges a relationships with a teacher. Other laws go to
what can and cannot be taught. There is much on the books regarding the separation of church and state and there is legislation that tells one what a teacher can
