threat involves you directly it becomes even more frightening. Bomb scares are called such because no one knows for sure if they are real or not right away.
Typically, it takes an expert(s) to figure that out and either disengage the bomb or dismiss it as a fake. More often than not, the bomb is a fake
but its a chance most dont ever want to have to face. There are usually many people involved in a bomb scare.
Those who threaten the use of such devices want to receive a good deal of attention typically and therefore they place the bombs, whether real or not, in a
public place where it will affect a great deal of people. Naturally, when it is discovered that a bomb may be in the plane/building/school/or other, the people become terrified
at the thought of the bomb exploding and perhaps killing them. This is, of course, a very natural reaction. Since September
11, 2001 there has been much to cope with in terms of reacting to bombs. The planes which were used as bombs were certainly acts of terrorism and while
this is an extraordinary case it certainly provides an example of how people react. Furthermore, there were many bomb threats which continued to pose a threat in the wake
of this tragedy. The following is an excerpt from a letter of a New Yorker in the days following the
