When budgets are increased for military, they are decreased for other government entities, most of which impact women. This paper will discuss this impact and why men need to
see that militarization has a huge impact on womens lives. MILITARIZATION: THE IMPACT ON WOMEN Militarization has affected men much more differently than it has women. While the
majority of military personnel are men, and the majority of those making military decisions are male, these decisions and these personnel are directly impacting the lives of women everywhere.
This is not always immediately noticeable; however, it is very noticeable to those women whose lives have been impacted. The very fact that military budgets have been steadily increased while
other budgets have decreased is one factor that can be pointed to as affecting women. It has been argued that if the military budgets are going to be raised
which will have a direct impact on men and their salaries, then other budgets need to be considered as well. Budgets for day care services for working women, higher
minimum wages, and other stipends that directly affect women need to be considered. It is true that in some cases when the military impacts men and their income, their wives
and families will see some of this as well. But what of the women who are single, or single parents, lesbians, or the like? There are a majority
of women who are in no way impacted by militarization in a positive way. These are the ones who feel the opposite, or polar affect of militarization. It is
