the mundane. Still, I combed through magazines. I circled places to visit but I didnt believe I would have the opportunity to take the trip. I wished that I could
take the trip and it was hard for me as I wanted to do this badly but thought it would never be real. I fantasized about the perfect trip time
and again. What was the perfect trip in my mind? I wanted to go to Italy and France and all of the places I read about in grade school. I
wanted to do it because it seemed like it would be fun, but also because it was something important. I believed, at the time, that I was meant to live
somewhere else. I believed that taking the trip would have the end result of enlightenment. It seemed true at the time. Although I didnt go on the perfect trip planned
in my mind, I did go on what may be construed as an ideal trip to my husband. I packed my bags and I packed for my husband as well.
We showered and dressed and we both looked nice. We left the apartment tidy and took the trash out before we locked the doors. We prepared for some time and
I wanted the trip to be perfect. He asked if this trip lived up to my expectations. I said yes but I lied. He did not know that I really
wanted to go to Europe, but I think he suspected I did. On that trip in question, we just went to the Poconos. The Ponconos was fine. We went skiing
and we lit a fire in our room. We went to see an exhibit in town. Everything was fine but my husband really thought I wasnt pleased. He was right.
