is known as television today. It would of course be some time before television had really made an impact or materialized in the living rooms of homes across America. Prior
to World War II, the industry known as television emerged ("Historical Periods in Television Technology," 2009). Many remember the innovation being introduced at the Worlds Fair. In fact, David Sarnoff
would utilize a 1939 exhibit at the Worlds Fair to provide a showcase ("Historical Periods in Television Technology," 2009). Here, RCA would introduce a new line of television receivers and
also, anyone who would visit the Worlds Fair would go to the RCA pavilion to see themselves on TV ("Historical Periods in Television Technology," 2009). One can imagine that with
the moving picture so new and innovative, seeing ones self on TV would be quite exciting. It was a long time before the "fifteen minutes of fame" notion would hit
society. Things changed dramatically down the road. Between the 1960s and 1980s, there would be significant expansion ("Historical Periods in Television Technology," 2009). One very different thing to emerge
was MTV. People by that time were used to situation comedy and drama, but music was geared for the radio. Enter MTV and the world of television would change. The
MTV generation is the first to have experienced music on television. Anyone born in the mid to late seventies and afterward would grow up watching this channel. Their older sisters
