Essay / Research Paper Abstract
A 5 page paper discussing the
dishonesty aspect of this British law. The intent of the Theft Law obviously is a good and
useful one. The judge in the Hinks case defines well the measure by which the jury was to
determine dishonest intent, and framing the definition in terms of current codes of decency
keeps the law current. All involved in the legal system likely needs to guard against
perverting the goal of the law, however. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
