boys who uncover, solve, a mystery that is taking place in their town. In this story the mystery involves the disappearance of water from the towns reservoir. The following paper
provides a summary of the story. The Hardy Boys: The Secret of Skull Mountain In the beginning of the story the brothers, Joe and Frank Hardy, want to
go swimming but there is no water and this leads them to wonder what is going on for the reservoir is new and as such there should be a lot
of water, and surely water for swimming. They discover that the water seems to rise in the daytime but then drops at night and as such the reservoir is never
really full. As they embark on their investigation, one that takes them into the mountain, they seem to be constantly attacked, mysteriously, while in the mountain. They employ the
help of other characters in their mission. There is Bob Carpenter, Dick Ames, and Chet Morton. Other characters who pop up in the story are the Sweeper, whose name is
really Timothy Kimball Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Kleng and a scientist, doctor Foster. There are little mysteries uncovered here and there, or
little hints to the truth of the mystery, as is the case with the Hardy Boys mysteries as well as most mystery stories. Each chapter seems to uncover some new
discovery that makes the reader continue to read, and want to continue to read the story until the truth is discovered. For example, as they get closer to the truth
they find the Sweeper trying to break into the safe of the Klengs and he is confronted with the truth of what is taking place while he attempts to hide
