comes along and says that the temple is not obligated to provide health care because that would be socialized medicine. A Samaritan comes along and feels sorry for the man
and says: "It is too bad that you are not a Samaritan. In Samaria we have universal health care coverage. But as a Judean you are expected to provide for
your own medical care privately" (Father Bill). Luke 18:35-38, 40-42 reports the story of a blind man on the side of the road begging. Jesus is going by causing
a stir in the crowd. The man calls out to Jesus who has the man brought to him and asks the man what he wants Him to do. The mans
asks to see again and Jesus says, "Have you paid your medical insurance premiums?" (Father Bill). In Acts 16:16-18, we read about a slave girl who had the spirit of
divination and had brought her owners a lot of money. She followed Paul shouting that he and his companions were servants of God. She did this for days upon
days and Paul finally became upset and said that he would like to help the girl but her health insurance policy that her owners paid for did not cover mental
illness treatment and if he helped her that would interfere with free enterprise, therefore, he could do nothing (Father Bill). Father Bills examples may seem absurd but they happen
