These are companies that recognize that if management pays attention to the people, then the overall company will do well. This is an idea that has been proven over and over again. That said, many corporations look at the bottom line and believe they can be successful while skimping on human resources. Some of them have been successful in this way. However, Federal Express is a good example of a successful company that does embrace its workers. Stellar leadership is often required to make firms work. Leaders in every industry have demonstrated that if one pays attention to the nuts and bolts of running a firm, then in the end, things will go well. Profit will be made. The employees will be happy. All of the positive energy that oozes from these firms also makes for good public relations. It is true that FedEx saw some fireworks when it negotiated new contracts with its pilots, but aside from that, articles about Federal Express have been good. Many people know the company by name and are familiar with its packaging and "on time" guarantees.
