aspects of the reign, and as such there are ways in which people can argue that the fall of the Roman Republic was inevitable and others who would argue that
it could have continued under the right circumstances. The following paper examines the Roman Republic from various perspectives (background and specifics), discussing various elements. In so doing the paper provides
the positive and negative aspects of the Roman Republic. The paper then presents two different perspectives from ancient texts, one a poem and one a biography of Caesar. The paper
finishes with the argument and discussion which indicates that the fall of the Roman Republic was inevitable. The Roman Republic: Background
As mentioned, the Roman Republic was a form of government that lasted for several centuries. And, because it was so long lived and thus complex, we can assume that the
fall of the Republic was not a simple or quick condition either. As one author notes, "The Fall of the Republic was more than a single man or event. It
