Global warming is one of the most concerning issues of our time. It is also one of the most controversial. The contention that the
earths climate was warming at a faster than normal level thanks to anthropogenic influences was first presented in the 1970s. It immediately met with considerable criticism. Non-the-less, not
only is global warming a very real phenomenon, it has the potential to impact our world in potentially catastrophic ways. Global warming has the potential not just to affect
our food supply, it has the potential to affect biodiversity the world over. There are, of course, both natural and manmade
factors in global warming. Volcanic activity, for example, is a known factor in this phenomenon. The controversial part comes into play when the anthropogenic factors are mentioned.
When confronted with hard data illustrating temperature increases, these skeptics contend that what we are seeing is really part of a natural climate change. They point out that the
earths climate has been in continual change ever since it first materialized and natural factors such as El Nino play a critical role in this warming. Many notable researchers
have devoted much of their life, in fact, to describing such phenomena. When we consider the question of just where does
