up an interview with an individual who was 21 in the year 1962. The individual is interviewed regarding particular news events of 1962. Cuban Missile Crisis Information-This event
is often seen to be one of the most historical moments in the 20th century. It was a time when the world, especially the United States, was under a very
serious threat that could have easily led to nuclear disaster. In the United States battle against communism there came this even which involved many varying levels of incident and near
incident. In action taken against Russian ships which were moving into Cuban waters. Kennedy stated in an article dated October, 1962, that he ordered a freeze on military and a
blockade because "The peace of the world and the security of the United States and of all American states are endangered by reason of the establishment by the Sino-Soviet powers
of an offensive military capability in Cuba, including bases for ballistic missiles with a potential range covering most of North and South America" (Baulch; Mears, 1962; 62missilecrisis.html). Interviewer (JR):
Do you remember the Cuban Missile Crisis as it took place in 1962? LK: I do not remember any specifics, as they regard particular times, but I do recall the
tension and the constant anxiety we all felt. Of course, what we knew then is far different from what we know now. We were largely in the dark compared to
