in aviation. According to the "Ethnic Theory of Plane Crashes" presented by author Malcolm Gladwell in his book "Outliers: The Story of Success", more than one aviation disaster
has been linked to ethnic differences that result not just in poor communication because of language differences but also hierarchical differences between people! Each of these problems can result
in errors being made and lives being lost. Research has indicated that many aviation accidents relate pilot error. Miscommunication is one of
the primary reasons for these errors. That miscommunication can occur between the pilots themselves and/or between the pilot and ground crew. Cultural differences sometimes translate into one of
the other party not being able to adequately express themselves and/or to understand the language being spoken by the other. Runway
