already in the market seek to compete. To appreciate the difficulties and challenges the entrepreneurial process itself can be considered. To assess the way that the process takes
place the use of case studies can be very valuable, but the process itself needs to be assessed. There are several models, but all have commonalities. The paper will start
by looking at what an entrepreneur is, the way that the entrepreneurial process takes place and then apply this to two case studies. 2. The Entrepreneur and the Entrepreneurial Process
In order to consider this it is necessary to assess what is meant by the term entrepreneur and the characteristics or characteristics that are associated with it. When looking
at definition of entrepreneurs these are wide ranging, but there are some commonalities in all of the descriptions. The need for innovation and top pioneer changes is present in all
definitions; however, the level of entrepreneurship may also be seen on a range of scales, form those who simply want to be self employed, to those who want to change
the world (Drucker, 1993). The origins of the word come fro the French "entreprendre" meaning to undertake (Drucker, 1993). By applying this
to a commercial meaning the initial meaning is to start up a business, this can be defined as "someone who organizes a business venture and assumes the risk for it"
