unavoidable, it would seem, in any given society. The effect of poverty and welfare are numerous and can range fro impacting the economic condition of the nation to impacting the
relationship in a family. The following paper examines the effect of poverty and welfare in the nation. The Effect of Poverty and Welfare on Society First and foremost,
one of the most obvious ways in which poverty and welfare impact society is through economics. This is likely the stance that most people, not impoverished or living on welfare,
would argue for they would feel that their hard earned money was taken away from them because of the impoverished people and those people on welfare. It is simply "too
expensive" (WiseTo, 2007). This, aside from an economic perspective, angers many people and thus makes them less than sympathetic to the plight of those who are impoverished or living on
welfare. An unsympathetic attitude is something that impacts all people. And, while there are people who are, by choice somehow, living in poverty or on welfare, without a desire to
rise higher, many people who are struggling to survive are being seen negatively. This does little, if anything, for the people who are struggling as they may well be defeated.
Such social conditions may well lead to more people being discouraged and living in poverty or on welfare. A society needs to work together for the benefit of all
people and through such negative assumptions that lump all poor people and people on welfare into one group no one is benefiting. This is a very serious issue although not
necessarily an issue that is researched, or even capable of being researched. But it is very clearly an aspect of the topic that influences society and it does so through
