REALIZING THE NEED Academic inequity is a social ill that runs rampant throughout certain segments of society, preventing children and adolescents from obtaining the education they require if they are to ever become functioning, beneficial members of a civilized society. While this notion is easy enough to understand, reaching that objective through such programs as school vouchers has been fraught with a combination of celebratory rejoicing and antagonistic rebellion.
