join elections, it is very difficult to win a large election if one is not aligned with either the Democratic or Republican parties. The Republican party is aligned with
conservatism, at least in general, and Democrats are often liberal. To that end, the various stances and controversial issues often stick with one party or another. For example, abortion is
a heated issue and generally, Republicans opposed abortion and many conservative extremists will support the party due to this one issue. Another issue is gay marriage. In general, homosexuality is
something that is protected by the law today, but it is also the case that many conservatives are against it. It goes against mainline Christianity which is generally aligned with
the Republican party. The ideas of the Republican party are attached to conservative values. Many claim to be highly moral, pointing to Hollywood and the secular world as being quite
the opposite. Republicans and Democrats are at odds. They point fingers at one another, suggesting that each is morally corrupt. The Democrats are thought to be morally challenged because they
support gay rights and abortion rights, things that are not aligned with religious morality. Democrats accuse Republicans of being greedy because they do not want to pay more taxes which
might go to social programs and help the poor. Of course, the truth lies somewhere in the middle and these notions are just generalizations. In other words, not all conservatives
are against gay rights. Vice President Dick Cheneys daughter is a lesbian for example. Similarly, not all democrats want to spend money. It is interesting to look at the history
