of the time. Although that may sound strange today, in the final culmination of Lockes thought processes that was delivered for the most part in the American Declaration of Independence,
it was astounding and swept away centuries of government and oppression by de facto rule. Locke was a product of his education, his inquiry, his religion and his intense curiosity
to seek the truth. Born in Wrington, Sommerset, England, he grew up in a Puritan home, where the virtues of hard work and simplicity were valued. He was granted
a Bachelors and Masters degree at Oxford University, appointed Senior Student, and later Censor of Moral Philosophy. Thirty years of his life were spent at Oxford where he continued his
study of Aristotles logic as well as metaphysics and the science that was known at his time, which led him to obtain a medical degree and a license to practice.
Locke then served as the personal physician and confidential advisor to the Earl of Shaftesbury a leading politician. During that period, Locke also wrote on many topics, such as The
Reasonableness of Christianity, An Essay Concerning Toleration, and the Consequences of Lowering of Interest and Raising the Value of Money. In 1690, he published two books, which made him a
famous philosopher and political theorists: An Essay Concerning Human Understanding, and Two Treatise of Civil Government. Although others had written
