The world today is a different place than it was just a few generations ago. Our societal mores are deteriorating in front of
our eyes. Human rights violations about all around the world and countries like the United States and Great Britain can do little but stand by and shake their heads.
Even these countries, in fact, have their own share of problems with which to deal. In the more technologically developed
regions of the world we are becoming more and more receptive to practices which our parents considered abhorrent. Abortion, assisted suicide, and the death penalty are all now common
in more than one region of the world. So too are gay marriages and other reflections of a society that has changed dramatically since earlier times. We are
witnessing a day when free speech means one thing in one context yet another in another context, a day where freedom of religion has been largely obliterated for the masses
in favor of the few. When we consider the worlds atrocities it is easy to point accusing fingers at countries like Afghanistan, Iraq,
Bosnia, and Rwanda where horrors like female genital mutilation and war crimes are common reflections of every day life. War has consumed these regions for generations and rape and
other reflections of moral decay are certainly not a new concept for either of these countries. They have, however, just found the limelight of public attention with the case
involving the recent conviction of three war criminals (Dragoljub Kunarac, Radomir Kovac, and Zoran Vukovic), Bosnian Serbs who were commanders of a paramilitary unit and were tried and convicted of
