is clearly about witch trials, and primarily, it would seem, the infamous Salem witch trials from history, it is also a story that is strongly symbolic of Millers own struggles
in society during the anti-communist focus, led by the government. As such it is a story that deals with varying opinions and clearly wrongful opinions as well. With that in
mind the following paper examines what societys attitude should be towards the minority opinion in society as based on Millers The Crucibl. The Crucible: Minority Opinion As mentioned,
this story is clearly about the witch trials but the witch trials are clearly and purposefully created by one young woman who has been scorned by her married lover. She
pulls in many other young girls/women and the entire community, the majority, is convinced that these girls are telling the truth based on their arrogant and ignorant religious ideals. Because
the witch focus is based on lies the minority in this story is not necessarily witches, for there is never any proof that witches exist in the story. The ideals
that would be possessed by witches, however, clearly speak of a minority in relationship to religious or social class for individuals. If there were witches they are clearly not accepted
and they are clearly the minority. In this story the majority is the ruling force, the political body which is essentially comprised of men in power and men in
religion. They are supported by wives who are religious but for the most part it is the men who are the majority and only the truly religious, if not wealthy
as well, men. In truth, every character that is not part of the male religious power is considered, in one way or another, the minority. The women are especially vulnerable
