a Child The cost of being pregnant begins with prenatal care and if a person has health insurance then there is little or
no cost. If a person does not have insurance and does not qualify for Medicaid or other healthcare funding then the cost varies quite a bit. Because it varies quite
a bit there seems to be little information about any exact cost. In many cases prenatal care and delivery are included together, aside from any special needs that may occur
during delivery such as a c-section. Under normal circumstances delivery can run on the average from $5,000 to $8,000 (American Pregnancy Association, 2006). A c-section can run upwards of $12,000
(Sure Baby, 2006). In terms of prenatal care there may be additional costs for things such as prenatal vitamins and extra food consumed by the mother, but the costs of
this are relatively minor. In determining the average cost of raising a child, after it is born, the student requesting this paper
has suggested the mention of things like diapers, wipes, bottles, hygiene products and many other things. Many mothers may not purchase numerous items other mothers will. For example many mothers
