by P. Giltman 6/2010 Please It is evident that the healthcare industry is in a
state of crisis and if some serious reform is not implemented to correct the systems deficiencies, this perpetual problem will only get worse both here and abroad. The list of
challenges is nearly endless, but the issues that these governments are facing are: medical costs are too high; health insurance is extremely costly and inaccessible to the people who need
it most, and the population of uninsured is at alarming levels. It is evident that doctors, attorneys, and insurance and pharmaceutical companies make a lot of money. And that money
naturally equates to power and these individuals and corporations use that power to influence governmental policy. Some argue that the insurance companies make so much money that it is not
fair for them to charge such exorbitant premiums for insurance. However, they counter by saying this is a capitalist society and they can use those excess profits to provide quality
medical care to the people who can afford it. In addition, as the cost of drugs in America continues to rise, pharmaceutical companies are allowed to use the extra revenue
for research and experimentation purposes. If America was completely socialized, this would not be allowed. Instead, everyone would be entitled to the same quality of care. And while there is
no simple solution to the healthcare crisis today, governments are working to integrate some sort of solution to provide the balance it needs. Therefore, the three most important economic issues
