Other Stories By Stephen Crane the reader is provided with numerous stories that offer up very different, yet also similar, perspectives on the Civil War. They are stories that haunt,
stories that entertain and enlighten, and stories that illustrate the condition of humanity in a time of horrific war. The following paper compares and contrasts the books and reviews the
works. The Civil War Works of Crane and Bierce As suggested by the titles, and indicated in the introduction, these two
works are comprised of several short stories that deal with characters and the Civil War. Clearly this is what makes them similar for both authors are seeking some perspective, some

sense of delving into the nature of humanity, especially at times of war. Cranes work is filled with a look at humans and perhaps the psychology and spirituality of war.
