and they were able to give final efforts against the North. Just when the North thought, it seems, that they had won against the South, despite the Souths rebellious nature
and attitude, the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain occurred. Of course, it did not result in the victory of the South in the Civil War, but it did serve as many
things, not the least of which was to serve as a reminder to the North that the South would not go down that quietly. The following paper provides an introduction
to the battle in relationship to the primary foundations of the Civil War, and battles before the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain. The paper then discusses the battle itself along with
