and all 270 pages were filled with suspenseful action, and excitement. I couldnt put the book down and found that I kept reading the pages to see what was
going to happen next. There was always another clue or mystery that needed to be deciphered and the characters were always running into obstacles and more mystery. The City of
Ember kept my attention and my interest and after reading it, I was ready to read it again. The story is set in a small city, The City of Ember,
which is completely surrounded by darkness. The only lights that are in existence anywhere are in the City of Ember and nowhere else. The City was constructed by Builders
who left large storage rooms full of food and other resources that the inhabitants of the City would need. The buildings had all been constructed in the beginning and
there was a generator that provided the power to keep the lights burning. The buildings had all the wiring and plumbing that any of the inhabitants would ever need.
No one who lived in the City of Ember had to do any work and as a result none of the inhabitants knew how to do anything or
how to fix anything. Everything was provided for the inhabitants and there was plenty of everything for everyone. When the Builders had completed their construction of the City of Ember,
they left a message for the inhabitants. The message had been passed down from generation to generation by giving the message to each succeeding mayor of the city.
The message was kept in a locked box for safe keeping by each mayor. The current mayor does not seem to be concerned about the condition of the City and
