in the Christian community between 135 and 160 A.D." (Hoeller). His ideas and beliefs were, and are, often considered confusing and quite mystical. The following paper examines the ideas and
beliefs of Valentinus. Valentinus Interestingly enough, "There is much evidence indicating...that he was never universally condemned as a heretic in his lifetime and that he was a respected
