a certain sector, or internal process analysis might be used to anticipate a possible overrun on a deadline and allow for intervention. Unfortunately, not all managerial tasks are quite so
easy. Among the most difficult tasks faced by any leader in an organization are those which are less quantifiable and more abstract, such as the motivation of employees. Nevertheless, these
issues are just as important to deal with. If employee motivation is not present, then the organization will be prevented from achieving its potential just as it would be in
the event of a more concrete obstacle. This paper will explore the challenges managers face in motivating employees, and suggest a number of strategies that might be effectively employed to
achieve desirable outcomes. Trends This section of the paper helps the student give a rundown of recent observed trends in employee motivation. In order to better understand
the role that managers will play in motivating employees, it is critical to take note of recent trends in employee motivation. For example, a 2010 study looked at employees working
