unique look at laws in the nation, laws that protect against discrimination but laws that currently do not protect a persons position if they fall into particular categories, such as
Steve Stanton. The following paper examines the legal case of Stanton, as well as his/her situation and stance on the conditions. The Case of Steve/Susan Stanton
It should first be noted that there is no solid legal case, no court case, involving Stantons situation. There is talk of his/her possibly suing
the city, but there has also been strong talk that indicates Stanton will not sue but rather will pursue a career that changes the laws in existence today. In essence,
the information available indicates that there is no court case involving Largo City v Steve Stanton. The story of Steve/Susan begins when
Stanton approached the Police Chief, apparently a friend of his, to tell him about his situation (People Weekly, 2007; 100). The Police Chief, Aradi, thought he was in trouble but
when he learned that Stanton was in the process of changing his sex from a man to a woman Aradi simply felt compassion, feeling that such a thing should not
be taken into consideration when speaking of a city official who is willing to help people and makes a difference (People Weekly, 2007; 100). However, Stantons bosses did not
