accomplish. For example, there must be a communications plan outlining how projects will be ordered. Such a plan must demonstrate how progress will be reported and measured. How will information
be reported to project sponsors and executives in the context of project reporting? First, it is important to provide a quick explanation of the Dreamliner Project. The Dreamliner is
a design by Boeing 787 that is supposed to be usable sometime during 2008 ("Boeing 787-8," 2005). The 787 is expected to utilize technology that had been suggested for the
Sonic Cruiser ("Boeing 787-8," 2005). This project should result in a new, innovative, dream aircraft. Boeing reports that it will probably be about twenty percent more fuel efficient than other
crafts ("Boeing 787-8," 2005). This is not surprising. As items in general are developed over time, they become cheaper to run and more efficient. Technology always renders old models less
efficient. Still, when it comes to aircraft, in the present economy that has seen rising fuel prices, the 787 will be a welcome addition to any fleet. At least, that
is what Boeing is hoping. Of course, there has been criticism lodged at this dream plane, as is with any new innovation ("Boeing 787-8," 2005). Airbus for example claims that
its product will be superior to the Dreamliner ("Boeing 787-8," 2005). Only time will tell if this is true. II. Project Reporting Reporting must be done
at a variety of levels. When one uses the term "report," it appears that something formal is anticipated. Yet, reporting may also be informal to an extent. Progress must first
be measured before reporting and this is done in a variety of ways. Yet, those measurements must be conveyed either through written communications or verbal methods. In respect to communications
