industry, however the foundations of the industry are not decades ago, but centuries ago. However, the major changes and progress may be seen as focused within the last few decades,
where the industry has grown exponentially in terms of value and the fields of application. Today it is a thriving, multimillion dollar industry, with a large number of firms and
commercial developments which have been able to benefit society as well as controversial developments. The industry is highly diverse and is likely to change and evolve at a rapid rate.
To understand the biotechnology industry to the essential to good background in the trends and patterns which are seen within the industry, it is also potentially valuable to look at
