which Americas forefathers were ready and willing to go in the name of democracy. "Constitutions cannot create democracy; democracy creates constitutions. Bills of rights do not create rights,
they codify rights already defined, fought for, and won" (Barber PG). The emphasis placed upon "material well-being and individual liberties" (Muczyk PG) is one that bodes well with the
democratic process and is what the founders of this country sought for their fellow countrymen, two factors that cannot exist without the appropriate distribution of natural rights. When the
Constitution was drafted in the eighteenth century, there was a great need for the democratic process to prevail; autocratic dictatorships were crushing the world, and people were subject to living
their lives at the mercy of their rulers. The vote for colonial democracy was a vote for the freedoms that are intrinsically granted to each and every individual on
the planet; however, the United States could not concern itself with the entire world, as the founding fathers had enough to accomplish just establishing America as its own liberated and
