In 2010 the largest environmental disaster to date occurred in the Gulf of Mexico, with the explosion of the BP Deepwater oil rig. The paper discusses a number of issues concerning the disaster, including the ethical issues, assessment of responsibility and blame, identification of various stakeholders and the outcome of the disaster. include the employees who rely on BP for the provision of jobs, and provide a safe workplace, the shareholders were the owners of the company and invest for a profit,
suppliers to the company contracts, customers who needs the end product as well as government who are both regulator and beneficiary from taxes, in addition to this any individual who
can be impacted by the environmental effects of operation, including local residents, and in the case of large environmental impacts such as oil spills, where pollution may enter the chain,
