he said he would be glad if he could have helped
the black people, but that all credit is due to
Allah. Only the mistakes were his. Malcolm X
died on February 21, 1965; he was 40 years old.
An autobiography is the story of ones life as
they tell it. This is not entirely true in the
case of Malcolm X.; on a regular basis he told
parts of his life to journalist and author, Alex
Haley, who then put those life pieces together
into the autobiography that we are discussing.

the autobiography that we are discussing. The Autobiography of Malcolm X The book is written as though Malcolm is speaking directly to us, but each section of the story has
its own unique voice reflecting both Malcolm and the times. The major thematic presentation flowing across time is that of recalling the event, and having the ability, at this
phase of his life, to look back upon it and reflect. Watch for the even patterning of storyteller event, pause, reflection, and conclusion. Also notice how each of
the following aspects of Malcolms life relate to the role of transformational leader, critical social theorist, intellectual, and educator. "Nightmare - the case of Malcolm Little Malcolms childhood is
not a pretty picture. Yet there is a questing spirit presented throughout the book no matter what the name of the persona. The young life of Malcolm Little
is a tragic as most slave narratives of the past. These narratives usually show the hero narrator as he discovers education, and personal thought. In his thoughts he
