as an interesting candidate to many. In his work, The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream, Obama also sets out to illustrate where and why he stands
as he does on many issues concerning the public. The following paper examines and analyzes this particular work. The Audacity of Hope by Barak Obama In a brief
overview of what is examined, presented, and discussed in is work this essay first presents the various topics covered in the book. In the beginning of the book he examines
and discusses Republicans and Democrats. Although he is a Democrat he seems, perhaps to many, to hold some republican ideals in relationship to family and religion perhaps. But, in this
section he primarily illustrates how there are real differences between Republicans and Democrats and that both are clearly at fault in relationship to the state of affairs in the nation
today. He cites their strengths and weaknesses, some history, and also his own particular hopes. In the next chapter or section he
examines the values that Americans hold dear to them, as well as illustrating his own values. It is perhaps somewhat difficult to ascertain exactly what Obamas values are if one
really tries to pinpoint them. While he discusses many issues, and seems very strong in his values, he is also advocating the broad reality of the American values today which
range greatly. As such it seems that it is almost impossible to clearly understand the concrete values presented by Obama when there are many, all of which seems to indicate
